Johan is a new Japanese Bakery Shop to have opened in Isetan Jurong East,at the last December, 2013.
The name Johan was taken from a French baker named Roland Johan. Roland Johan was born around the town of Le Mans, France, and at 13, he started his training as a baker. In 1942, he opened the first Johan store in Montparnasse, in Paris. In 1971, he opened another store in the Parisian suburb of Dame Blanche.
Bakeries were looking for ways to increase their work efficiency and abandoned the traditional baking methods, producing a lot of poor-quality bread. In the midst of all this, Johan's tried and true bread baking methods, which "preserved the tradition of real French bread," and his spirit towards the craft made a great impression on Donq who he then teamed up with.
In 1983, the first Johan bakery was opened in Japan at the Ginza Mitsukoshi store, carrying on the French traditions of Mr. Johan and using the highest quality ingredients.

Donq was established in Kobe,Japan year 1905. Since then, we have been providing our customer with quality breads for 108 years now with our company creed, “Customer and Quality oriented company”. Since we started our business, we have kept delivering our customer the best quality breads through “Scratch Baking” which is an end-to-end baking style with all the procedures from kneading dough, shaping a bread and until baking it are conducted by ourselves.

It is one of the Famous Bakery Shop in Japan and has around 185 Branches in Japan alone, 14 Shops in Taiwan, 3 Shops in Hong Kong and 4 outlets in Shanghai China. Due to business expansion at Singapore, we are currently looking for dedicated and highly motivated personnel to join our Team.

①Full-Time Bakery Chef
OT, 5～6days work /wk ,(6days off/month) additional day off for every public holiday.
Experience is not required.
8hrs work/day + 1hr break.
Work start at 7am.
*Experiences would be advantage
*No experience is required as training will be provided

Responsibilities for Bakery Chef
- To assist in daily production of pastries and bakeries.
- Responsible for the high standard preparations of pastry.
- Clean & maintain baker equipment & tools.
- Complete daily duties as stipulated in job agreement.
- Making/ Baking Breads
②Full-Time Bakery Sales Staff
OT, 5～6days work /wk ,(6days off/month) additional day off for every public holiday.
Johan : working hrs (8am-5pm / 1pm-22pm)
DONQ : working hrs (1pm-22pm)
8hrs/day + 1hr break
*No experience is required as
training will be provided
Responsibilities for Bakery Sales Staff
- Cashier
- Responsible for delivering excellent customer service.
- Decorate baked goods base according to our preset standards.
- Ensure smooth operations to achieve good customer satisfaction.
③ Full-Time Baking & Sales
(Mini J/Matsuzo potato:Johan SCOTTS ONLY)
S$1700 / month and above (based on experience)
OT, 5～6days work /wk ,(6days off/month) additional day off for every public holiday.
Working hrs (8am-5pm / 1pm-22pm)

S$8.92 / hour
*More than 8 hours/day, 8 days/month include Sat/Sun/PH
*Able to work on weekends & public holidays.
*Minimum 3 months contract required
*No experience is required as training will be provided
Staff discount will be given.

Benefits: 14days Medical Leave with MC, 8days annual paid leave(after 1year working), annual bonus(based on performance).
